The Lover
Choices to be made. Heart vs. reason. Love. Hesitation.
The angel of love tries to guide The Lover towards the choice of the heart. The angel holds a bow which is also a lyre, a symbol of music.
“Reason” places its hand on the Lover’s shoulder in order to put his “feet back on the ground”.
Behind the angel, a radiant sun but also a “skull” (dark grey) which is there to remind the consultant that there is always a setback when we do not do things with passion.
The Lover is torn between the heart and the reason. He must make a difficult choice, between what he would like to do and what he should do.
The young girl on the right places her hand on The Lover’s heart to remind him of the essentials.
In general
This is the card of love and hesitation. The consultant is lost between heart and reason. His heart leans towards the young woman on the right who puts her hand on his heart while the older woman brings him back to the sense of duty by putting her hand on his shoulder. The angel above tries to throw the arrow that will make love triumph.
Work and finances
This card can mean a choice to be made in the field of work (for example between a job that brings money and a job that fascinates the consultant). Money goes back and forth and is not always stable.
Love
This card symbolizes emotional immaturity or the fact that the consultant is hesitating to make a romantic choice. It represents the pleasures of the body and the joy of living. For a couple already in place, there is harmony. For single couples, there is the possibility of several romantic encounters.
Spirituality
This card symbolizes the path to beauty, happiness, and joie de vivre.
